Time motion and our awareness of the passage of time

I want now to take another look at the effect we call motion in relation to time.  And here science has always assumed that motion was just as it seems, you know like motion, and that this motion took time to occur. 

So what I want to do now is restate the actions that allow motion.  And this motion action or motion effect, turns out to be nothing like what you might think it could be. 

And so now I hope the modified model of motion I now intend to describe, will interest you.  I think this is quite a pretty process, that reality has created, or should I say dreamt up.  And what is interesting to me here, is that once you can see the whole thing laid out, then the result is just as you would expect, and motion is just what we call motion. 

Now this new model of motion I want to describe is very, very different from any conventional picture.  So are you ready for this.  And I want to start off now by saying that the concept we humans have, that explains time, is just plain wrong.  So time is not like you think, and it doesn’t go by, and it doesn’t go forwards.  And the fact that it seems to go by, and go forwards, is inside our heads. 

So now I want to picture an object in motion, and this could be anything like the ball you throw for your dog.  And now I say that there is an ? process that takes place inside objects, that produce a sort of ?.  So where an object moves, then time inside this object goes back and forth on the spot. 

Okay, and now I hope you have understood this picture, where I say there is a time effect inside all objects that are in motion, so to speak. 

And now I want to take this model a stage further, and say that this back and forth time step action allows motion.  And it works like this.  If we picture this internal ? time effect as heading forwards, then as time goes forwards, then the motion of the object goes forwards too.  And I hope you are happy with this. 

But now something odd occurs.  The external motion is now heading the same way as time.  So now believe it or not, this motion latches into the motion of time itself, and takes up work from the motion of time. 

And now I don’t know if you have managed to follow this so far.  We have an internal ? time effect that an object in motion employs to drive itself forwards, as it moves forwards.  And note, according to any normal picture of motion, this idea seems a bit daft and stupid.  How can an object in motion pick up work from inside itself like this?  Impossible.  But believe it or not, this is what actually happens. 

Okay, and now are you ready for the next step?  And here we have a situation where the internal time effect, that is producing a forwards motion, now starts to run backwards in time.  But now as this happens, the object that is in motion, now switches its direction of motion , and starts to head back the opposite way. 

But now we have an odd situation as both the direction of time and motion are heading backwards, and the wrong way so to speak. 

And so hey presto, we get a double negative, and so the object now continues to move forwards.  In other words this double backwards state of affairs simply results in a further step forwards. 

And now I don’t know if you have managed to follow this.  But where both time and motion go backwards, the result is going to be forwards. 

And now finally the last bit of the action.  We start off with time going forwards, and the motion of time driving the object forwards.  Yes.  And then we get the object still going forwards, but the motion of time that results in this motion, now goes backwards. 

And now are you ready for this?  We have a forwards motion to an object, but a backwards motion to time, so that now this backwards time action dumps work back into ? slowing down the motion of the object. 

And what an extraordinary business, and the net result is exactly as we experience things, with a motion effect that goes forwards, and is like work neutral. 

But now an interesting idea.  It looks as though the reason that motion is possible at all, is because work is being continuously picked up, and then dumped in the passage of time, and this results in an active situation. 

So we have an active process here, where the work in the passage of time, sort of provides the cog wheels of action.  And what is even more strange perhaps is that this whole action occurs inside an object, that is moving.  So that if one wants to inspect this process, then we can’t do this, and so all we see is an object that appears to be moving.  And this object moves forwards, and so we assume that it takes time to move forwards. 

And now I hope what I have been saying is not too strange and complex for you to follow, as I now want to move on and discuss a general theory of the nature of time.  And the first point I want to make is that we humans observe objects in motion, which of course they can actually do.  And then we assume that there must be an overall forwards time effect, that permits this motion.  But I hope you can see that it is possible to dispense with this idea, and say that the only time effect there actually is, is this ? time effect, which we can’t detect or measure in any way. 

So then we can say that there is not time effect in empty space as it were.  So that if we try and measure our speed through space, we find we have no speed. 

And so to repeat myself, there is not time effect whatever, except this undetectable time effect, that resides inside the? 

And now to repeat myself again.  Objects can and do move forwards, and they can do this at a rate.  So then we humans assume that there must be a forwards time effect. 

And now to complete this picture I want to talk about wave time, or the time effect that a wave employs, to enable it to move.  And here waves are wavelike, and employ this same back and forth motion to time, that matter uses to move, but obviously on a huge very slow time rate.  So waves proceed by this same time back and time forwards action that matter employs.  So that now, just like matter, the forwards motion of a wave is the result of this two step time back and time forwards action. 

But now there is a small difference between wave motion, and the motion of matter.  And this is that waves are wavelike.  Yes.  And as they move forwards, then this forwards motion is also supported by a time effect. 

So in fact waves employ two separate time effects to allow them to move.  And one of these time effects just goes forwards.  And now I don’t know if I have made this idea clear.  But we have with wave motion, a real and continual forwards time action. 

And now things all work out neatly, as we human beings are cautious animals.  And this awareness of self is also an awareness of the world around about us, as viewed with this forwards time wave sense. 

So we inspect our surrounds, and also the rate effect of matter in motion, and then use our forwards time sense, to give this motion what looks like a real rate. 

So our senses see the world as heading forwards in time, which in fact, of course it doesn’t.  And this sense of a world which goes forwards like this comes simply from within our heads.  So reality doesn’t head forwards at all. 

So this is all very strange.  We have us human beings, who have forwards time sense, that gives a reasonable rate to the motion of matter. 

And that is all.  The actual world about us has in fact, no rate in time, and must be like some internal stage, where the actions take no time, and this seems to be quite beyond human comprehension.  Very odd. 

So we presumably live in a world where everything that has ever occurred, is still about to occur.  And where what has not occurred yet, has already occurred before.
